The Superman Wriddhiman

10/26/2020 by admin
Trivia:

Wriddhiman Saha aka Papali started his cricketing journey at Shaktigarh Pathagar club in Siliguri under the guidance of his father Prasanta Saha who was a renowned goalkeeper during the 70s. Wriddhiman was the first cricketer to represent India from Siliguri. As a child, he was not a prodigy, but his dedication was mind-boggling. He was the first to hit the ground and last to leave. During any fielding drill, Saha was always the last man standing. Tennis ball cricket was highly popular in Siliguri during the 90s. However, Saha never played it because the coach asked him to stay away as it would disturb his timing. Later he was selected for the Agragami Sangha, the best cricket club in the town, and never looked back.

He has a gifted anticipation skill and more often than not placed himself in the right position. Saha always keeps with soft hands and being lighter on feet, helps to move freely on both sides of the wickets. Saha is always an obedient student of the game. His incredible work ethic is the blueprint for many aspiring cricketers. He is a thorough gentleman and always ready to give a hundred percent for his team.
