Nathan Astle – Kiwi Kids

Nathan Astle was one of the most prolific run scorers in the History of kiwi cricket. He was born on 15 September 1971 at Christchurch. Astle played as an opener in ODI and batted in middle order in Test cricket. He played international cricket between 1995 and 2007 and scored 4,702 Test and 7,090 ODI runs. Astle also took 51 Test 99 ODI wickets.

Fastest Double Hundred:

Nathan Astle holds the record of scoring the fastest double hundred in Test cricket. He achieved the feat in just 153 balls against England at Christchurch in 2002. Astle hit 28 boundaries and 11 sixes before he got out at 222.

Kiwi Kids:

Nathan Astle and his wife Kelly Astle run Kiwi Kids, a preschool at Christchurch. Nathan is the director of Kiwi Kids.
