Keeping Muralitharan was not an easy task and often Kalu was on the receiving end. Murali told a funny story on ‘WTD’ that during a match in Australia, Kalu had great difficulties picking off breaks and Doosras. He was going wrong way more often than not. Murali told Kalu in the drinks break that he would not bowl Doosra anymore and not to worry about picking it in the air. Kalu was very happy and went back to his position. The first ball Murali bowled was Doosra and Kalu went the other way. Kalu was furious and uttered adjectives. Murali told he planned for an off break, however, just before the release, he changed his mind and bowled Doosra. Everyone laughed at it by looking at Kalu’s angry face.
