Lightning Fast Ambrose Mystified Rashid Latif

11/03/2022 by admin

Pakistan was in deep trouble when Rashid Latif came to bat in Sydney against West Indies during 1992–93 Tri Series. The scoreboard scared at 6-35. Ramiz Raja, Asif Mujtaba, Aamer Sohail, Saleem Malik, Javed Miandad and Wasim Akram went back to the pavilion. Ambrose and Simmons were literally unplayable on that day. Rashid took the stance against Ambrose and he left all the deliveries. During the over break Inzamam went to Rashid and said Nana(nickname of Rashid Latif) you were leaving the ball excellently, well played. Rashid smiled and replied to Inzy, ‘Well, I didn’t leave them deliberately. I just can’t see the ball’. The sheer pace of Ambrose baffled Rashid out-and-out.
