Justin Langer – The Night Before Test Debut
Tony Mann, the manager at WACA called Justin Langer prior to the 4th Test between Australia and West Indies in 1993. He informed Langer to join the Australian national cricket team at Adelaide as he was all set to make his Test debut in place of injured Damien Martyn who poked his eyes accidentally during a practice session.

Bobby Simpson was waiting for him at the Adelaide airport and accompanied Langer to the hotel. As soon as he entered the lobby, he saw all the Australian cricketers near the BAR. It was a dream come true for Langer to see all his heroes together. Langer entered the room and saw big cardboard, labeled as ‘Justin Langer – Australian Test Cricket’. He opened the box and found different gears inside it. He also found the priced Baggy green cap at the bottom of the box. Langer immediately wore the cap and started shadowing in the room. He wanted to frame the moment, that night Langer slept with Baggy green cap and his favorite bat next to the bed.
