Dilip Doshi – Victim of Botham’s Prank

12/29/2020 by admin
Trivia:

Dilip Doshi played for Warwickshire during the early 80s. He used to come to the dressing room impeccably dressed in suit and tie. A perfect gentleman. During a rain-interrupted match against Somerset. Ian Botham decided to pull a prank on him. He took the bucket of whitener and entered at Warwickshire dressing room. Doshi was enjoying the leisure. With a straight face, Botham threatened Doshi that he would paint his suit and Doshi kept running to escape from Beefy. It was an absolute nuisance in the dressing room. Poor Doshi had no clue that it was a prank.

Doshi played 33 Test matches and took 114 wickets. He took 898 First-class wickets too.
