Surprisingly at the age of 40, he was selected to represent the Canadian National Cricket team for an ODI tri-series in January 2007. He made his debut against Scotland after 11 years of his last ODI match for the West Indies and took Fraser Watts wickets. He was also picked to represent Canada in the 2007 ICC cricket world cup and became the second man in history after Kepler Wessels to play the world cup for two different countries. Cummings took two wickets in the 2007 world cup and announced the retirement soon after.
